Google Trends
An interesting tool has been launched by Google which allows you to view trends for selected keywords. Called ‘Google Trends’, you can enter one or more keywords and see how the search volumes have changed over the past couple of years. Potentially extremely useful for identifying seasonal peaks and troughs (a quick test on ‘christmas presents‘ reveals a very unsuprising peak prior to Christmas, but demonstrates the feature very well)….

New Yahoo! Sponsored Search
Much anticipated news from Yahoo! today that their PPC platform is being upgraded. In an attempt to make up some ground with Google, who are the clear market leaders for PPC advertising, Yahoo! Search Marketing is releasing details of what should be a complete overhaul of its PPC system. As MSN dump Yahoo!’s PPC ads in favour of their own PPC engine, there is little surprise at the timing of the announcement, although there remains some doubt…
