1. Rent-a-cat

Earlier this week ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) teamed up with humour blog Cheezburger and find-a-driver app Uber to deliver a very special event in honour of National Cat Day in the US, “I Can Has Uber Kittens.”

For $20 (all of which went to ASPCA) cat loving office workers in New York, San Francisco and Seattle could order a “kitten car” to deliver some feline friends directly to their workplace.

A novel idea and probably the best anti-stress remedy going, now how do we go about getting a box of puppies delivered to Browser Media HQ?

2. Some sound advice

The Condescending Corporate Brand Page is brilliant, unless of course you’re one of the unlucky condescending corporate brands who ends up being featured on it.

3. When selfies go bad

Only yesterday our very own Annie blogged about the humble ‘selfie’, a now common, albeit unfortunate trend amongst the Gen Y massive.

A word of advice though, if you’re into selfies, maybe don’t send them to prospective lovers by way of video, because you might just end up becoming an internet sensation for all the wrong reasons.

4. Spooky loops

Halloween always presents a great opportunity for marketers to get creative and generate a bit of extra brand fizz online.

Vine played a big part in this year’s proceedings, with the likes of M&S, Pizza Hut and Urban Outfitters all taking advantage of the six second video channel.

But the best effort in my opinion came from Oreo, with its series of biscuit themed movie parodies, #OreoHorrorStories.

5. A not so scary day at the office

In the spirit of Halloween we spent the best part of yesterday consuming large quantities of cake. And a great day it was too.

It was also the day of the 2013 Browser Media pumpkin carving competition – the most prestigious Halloween themed event in the office calendar.

It was a tight race, but there could only be one winner. Congratulations Annie, who claimed victory with this fancy sugar skull creation.
