Five things worth sharing from the last week or so, brought to you by a different member of the Browser Media team every Friday.

This week’s My Five is by Matt.

1. Threedom

It was widely reported earlier this week that The Sun newspaper had dropped its long-running Page Three feature.

But it was a short lived victory for the ‘No More Page Three’ brigade, because in Thursday’s edition of The Sun, the boobies were back.

Adding fuel to the fire, The Sun also published the following caption:

“Further to recent reports in all other media outlets, we would like to clarify that this is Page 3 and this is a picture of Nicole, 22, from Bournemouth.

“We would like to apologise on behalf of the print and broadcast journalists who have spent the last two days talking and writing about us.”

Exactly what The Sun’s endgame is, no one seems entirely sure, but if it’s making headlines and driving website traffic, it seems to have worked on both counts.

Some truly epic trolling, it has to be said.

2. Bad lip reading of the NFL strikes again

And it’s better than ever.

“You gotta eat the break-fast”

3. How to make your mobile site not suck

According to the IMRG E-Retail Sales Index (login required), mobile commerce now accounts for 37% of online retail sales.

Yet despite such stats being well publicised, so many businesses are still failing (and failing hard) to deliver a good mobile experience to their users.

There is arguably no such thing as the perfect website experience, but there are a number of things you can do to make sure it doesn’t suck entirely.

Here are 23 points to get you started, courtesy of Econsultancy’s Graham Charlton.

4. Just one of those days…

To me, the term “one of those days” conjures up images of missed alarms, spilling breakfast down my shirt, and dropping my phone down the toilet.

To French pro skier Candide Thovex, “one of those days” takes on an entirely different meaning.

Watch in awe as Candide shows you just how more exciting his mornings are than yours.
