Manns Music is a leading music shop, based in Colchester.
Established 149 years ago in 1854 by Mr Frederick Mann, Manns Music is the oldest music shop in Great Britain, and possibly the world, under the same ownership.
Recognising the potential that a website would offer the business, a website was launched several years ago which has developed into a substantial e-commerce store offering a huge range of musical products.
The site has, however, suffered from extremely poor visibility across the major search engines and was penalised in the ultimate way by a Google ban (removal from the Google index) for some previous ill-advised attempts at search engine optimisation.
Having been approached by Manns Music, Browser Media instantly identified a wide range of issues regarding the search engine optimisation of the website.
Browser Media was subsequently commissioned to prepare an SEO review, which provided an objective analysis of the site a detailed list of actions required to address the various issues affecting the search engine rankings.
Browser Media also assisted Manns Music with the Google reinclusion process, the result of which was a successful reinclusion within a matter of days, with the number of pages indexed and search engine referrals growing steadily.
