August 2011 search engine share data, Google shows slight decline

Latest statistics from comScore show that Google’s share of the U.S. search engine market has dipped for the first time since September 2009. Despite still dominating the market, Google’s share fell slightly in August 2011 when compared to July 2011, from 65.1% to 64.8%. Online video market dominated by Google

Statistics released this week by comScore reveal that Google owned video sites, predominantly YouTube, still lead the US online video market by some margin. Based on unique viewer count, Google is more than two and a half times larger than it’s closest competitor, VEVO.
