IAB Reports a 17% Rise in Ad Spend in 2008

Search accounts for 40% of US online ad revenue

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has released its 2006 Internet Advertising Revenue Report, looking at online advertising spend in the US. Google increases its grip on the UK online ad market

Google pocketed 43% of the record £2bn spent on online ads last year, according to figures from the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB). In 2006, a total of £2.016bn was spent online by advertisers targeting the UK’s 31 million internet users.
